about

Who Killed Cock Robin is a rather dark English nursery rhyme describing the role played by various creatures of the forest in the killing and burial of poor Cock Robin, first published in 1744 but certainly older - we've taken our tune from a version sung by John Jacob Niles of Kentucky.

Black is the Colour of My True Love's Hair was first discovered in Appalachia but thought to have originated in Scotland, a very popular ballad and one that is likely quite old.

Both of these songs were recorded, mixed and mastered using only analog tape, produced by Walker Phillips.
